Elm Park has a food truck. It serves terrible food. I have no idea how he is even still in business, other than he is the only place to get food, other than Price Chopper. The new rules state you need to get permission from property owners within 50 feet of where you are going to sell food.
The Elm Park food truck owner lives on Russell Street. Good luck getting permission to sell there. That is one un-needed regulation. Other food sellers don't have that rule. If I want to open a sandwich shop next door to a Subway, I can. May the strongest survive.
Why do food truck need to get permission from their competition?
The regulations are waived now and they will allow 1 ? 2 more food trucks at Elm. The regular Hot dog guy will be grandfathered in (which I feel is correct. )
I think this site should have a better detailed description of exactly what this ? Trial ? New rules are at the heading so everyone can see and understand them .All in one place so everyone is on the same wavelength.
