From Boston to Providence to Portland, food trucks are an integral part of everyday city life. Whether it's a quick bite during your workday break, a snack for the kids while playing in the park, a healthy smoothie after a jog, or a late night grab after leaving the pub or club, food trucks play a vital role in the mechanics of a thriving urban community. And it's time for Worcester to join those ranks.

Visit any major city in New England and it quickly becomes obvious where food trucks should be located. During the day, you'll find them on the common, near business hubs, clustered around city parks. During off-business night hours, food trucks are found along "bar zones" where urban lovers of city nightlife can grab a bite before heading out to, or on their way home from, the venues only a thriving city can offer.

Here? Locate food trucks on the common, near business hubs, around city parks (particularly Elm, Green Hill and spray parks), and along Harding, Green & Millbury Streets during off-business night hours. And don't over-regulate as to what type of food is offered. The consumer will quickly sort the market out.

Everyone loves the Sausage Guy. Except maybe the Falafel Guy.
