Use the downtown commons for a large scale outdoor summer concert. Ideally in late August in order to draw in the college crowd. If done well Worcester could become a summer music festival destination. Popular artists could be booked and any profits made from ticket sales should be used to improve the commons further. The idea is a long shot and would take proper planning, but it could really transform the atmosphere of downtown.
